Guided Archaeology Tours and GPR Observation

Travellers Rest is excited to have New South Associates conducting a ground penetrating radar survey here this month. We invite you to join us on January 29th for guided grounds tours focused on the archaeological history of the site and to observe the work being done by New South Associates. The report from this survey will benefit us for years to come as we continue to tell a more inclusive history of all residents of Travellers Rest as well as plan future preservation initiatives. Guided grounds tours will occur at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each tour should last approximately 45 minutes and then there will be time for observing the New South Associates team as they are working.

This event will be weather dependent. We will communicate with all registrants via email by 4 p.m. on January 28th if there is a need to reschedule due to weather or a change in schedule for New South Associates.
