Experience "GUGAK ORCHESTRA: Korea National Day Celebration Concert"
Join us for a unique autumn evening as the Korean Cultural Centre in Sweden, in commemoration of Korea's National Day, proudly presents the 'Daejeon Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Orchestra'—a leading ensemble in Korea since 1981 and who has been globalizing Korean traditional music through its authentic and creative performances worldwide— at Konserthuset on September 26th.
Gugak, Korea's traditional music, will be showcased from royal court to folk melodies in a grand orchestral format, blending traditional Korean instruments with Western elements for an innovative soundscape.
Under Artistic Director and Conductor Lim Sang-kyu, the Daejeon Gugak Orchestra will present a diverse program featuring acclaimed soloists: violinist Yoonseo Oh, saenghwang virtuoso Bori Kim, and celebrated vocalists Jooyoung Park (Jeongga), Younghee Lee (Gayageum Byeongchang), and Misuk Kim (Pansori).
