Guest Lecture: Duty Beyond the Battlefield

Discover the untold stories of African American soldiers who fought for more than just battles! Join us as we welcome Dr. Le'Trice Donaldson to Port Columbus for an informative talk. She uncovers the struggles and triumphs of these soldiers. Dr. Donaldson is the President of the Society for Black Military Studies. She is an Assistant Professor of African American History at Auburn University and author of “Duty Beyond the Battlefield: African American Soldiers Fight for Racial Uplift, Citizenship, and Manhood, 1870—1920.”
