Shareef Muhammad began his Aikido training in 1994 under the tutelage of the late Garrett Hawkins Sensei until his passing in 1997. Mr. Muhammad continued his Aikido training with Warren Jones Shihan, president and director of Aikido United and the Anshindokai until his passing in 2023.
Muhammad Shihan now serves as the head instructor of Bushinkan Dojo and is currently ranked as a 6th Degree black belt, and has received a Shihan (Master instructor) teaching certificate and 5th level weapons certification from Aikido United.
