John Kilcullen, President, Preservation League of Staten Island
Ms. Hickey will review the findings of the historic preservation plan prepared recently for the Olmsted-Beil House in Eltingville, Staten Island. She will review the house and property's history and development as well as the interesting people who have lived there. She will also summarize the findings of the historic preservation plan’s conditions assessment and recommendations, including a schematic design, and review the vision for the property, including next steps for restoration and bringing the house and property to a viable use for the community and beyond.
Mr. Kilcullen will discuss the work of the Preservation League of Staten Island (PLSI) to advocate for diverse, cultural landscapes, and significant historic buildings on Staten Island and will provide an update of the current PSLI preservation issues and advocacy efforts as well as share details of 2025 Anniversary events.
