If you don’t fancy running, but do fancy a night of live sport, come along and support! We want to create a great atmosphere to help all our runners over the finish line - get ready to cheer, yell and dance!
This event is about what trying your best looks like for you. We hope to help you crack that PB, but if it doesn’t come off on the day, an evening of positive vibes and running with friends under the lights can’t be a bad thing!
Additionally our friends at @asicsrunning will be joining us, and will have a selection of their “run faster” shoes available if you fancy a test run, before during, or after your race.
Our volunteer pacers will run in pairs to help you achieve your goal, but we can’t guarantee a time. Our pacers are all comfortable with the distance they’ve signed up for and will run to the best of their ability on the night, assisted by our trackside volunteers. We don’t have access to timing equipment, so runners should record their runs using own watches, phones, stopwatches etc if you’d like an individual record of your time.
GTRC will make no profit from this event. Any proceeds left once the event/merchandise costs have been covered will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Friday 8th November
8pm for 8:15pm start
Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh
This event will take place outdoors. Please dress appropriately for both running and spectating, as start times will be staggered throughout the evening.
