Grupo Canela - Five Springfield Shows for Tlaquepaque x Isesaki
Grupo Canela will visit sister city Isesaki, Japan, with Springfield's citizen delegation in fall 2026 to unite our three cities as we celebrate our 40-year anniversary with Isesaki. 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 🇲🇽
💸The concert at the Peace Through People Pavilion is free, but donations are encouraged. Grupo Canela hopes to raise funds to cover its portion of the trip; SSCA also supports the annual Traveling Musicians. Donations of $25 or more will receive a travel-stamp inspired bucket hat.
Grupo Canela shares its joy and passion with influences of salsa, bolero, cumbia and more to celebrate Latin identity with new generations. 💃🏽🎸🎻🪗🥁
For folks familiar with the Gigs in the Garden concert series, this is a bonus. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, kids and friendly dogs, enjoy bevs from Shakers, and relax on a Sunday afternoon.
