Band; Swing and ballroom dancing at Concordia LaCrosse$12 at the door. $6 for College Students with ID. Public is welcome. Swing, fox trot, line dances, cha cha, waltz, rumba, and other dances are popular. Cha Cha and Rumba dance lesson from 7-8pm.
Continental dances are third Friday every month plus a few extra dances. Voted Best Dance Floor. Often we enjoy line dancing to one side of dance floor while partner dancers are on the other side...plenty of room in this lovely historic ballroom.
Grumpy Old Men is dedicated to preserving the musical heritage of the Big Band Era of the 1930's, '40's, and '50's. A 14 piece big band with members from the La Crosse, Wisconsin area, the band consists of mostly retired musicians who still love to play their instruments and the music of the swing era. The band's repertoire includes the music of Glenn Miller, Les Brown, George Gershwin and many others. Grumpy Old Men play at many public events, nursing homes, and assisted living homes, and has been performing for over 30 years. This is a truly BIG band!
