It’s been a long time coming and well curated but “GROWN MAN ISH” comedy show is finally here. A comedy show that speaks to the adults in the room. Laughing through life’s experiences helps to truly understand the phrase hindsight is 20/20.

As we get older our priorities change and what was once the most important thing in the world to us get replaced by age-appropriate situations. No one says there isn’t anymore fun in the world, we’re just saying that the fun has evolved. Long lived the days of weekly nights out and soon replaced with Sunday dinners and reading time with the kids. The same feet that you danced on for hours, now need to be soaked and massaged.

“GROWN MAN ISH” is a comedy show that brings to light life’s experiences in a way that adults clearly understand and can relate too. Not being afraid of being the older person at the show “GMI” brings everyone together to laugh at marriage, kids, health, fashion and just plain old life without feeling like you’re laughing alone.

JP JUSTICE and Kenny Williams are just to two to bring this humor to the forefront. Together these seasoned veterans of stand-up comedy have over 50 years of both stage and television under their belts and they plan to make you laugh the good old fashion way, from the gut. “With age comes wisdom, but you had to bump your head a few times to wise up” JP says, Kenny reminds us of that stuff we forgot wasn’t important anyway, not unless it was your Medic*tion. Their separate comedy routines display their point of view and leaves the audiences wanting more.

Music is key to events like this, and DJ K-Swift is just the guy to set the tone for an upbeat party atmosphere. Without being said we all sing along to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “BEFORE I LET GO” or scream out “POISON” by Bell, Biv, Devoe and want to serenade our loved ones to “Fire & Desire” by Rick James and Teena Marie. Well, the third member of GROWN MAN ISH is K-Swift our musical director & DJ.
