This hands on workshop is designed to provide participants with the skills needed to scale up for longer seasons and household-level food supply beyond the summer. This workshop is ideal for gardeners with 1–2 beds (or equivalent) who want to expand. Participants will learn about expanding your growing space, soil building & tilling options, crop planning for the full season, and food storage & preservation. Participants can arrive early to tour the African American Museum of Iowa's latest exhibit, "Rooted: Labor, Land, and Legacy.
