The speaker will be Dr Ruth Larsen, Senior Lecturer in History at Derby University.
Ruth, " Will look at the experiences of childhood amongst the elite family at Chatsworth in the Regency period.
Focusing on the children and grandchildren of the fifth Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, it will highlight some of the lived experiences behind the pictures of childhood that we can see in the house today.” This nicely follows on from our last talk “Picturing Childhood” given by Gill Hart in Chatsworth’s Potting Shed”..
