Echelon Kitchen and Bar | Ann Arbor, MI
About this Event
Join the Ann Arbor Sustainable Food Business Coalition and the Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations for an interactive panel and open discussion on how farms and food businesses work together for shared success. We’ll dig into what works, what’s challenging, and practical strategies for growing local food procurement in our region.
Farmers, producers, distributors, chefs, buyers, food service operators, and local food advocates are invited to join us for a robust conversation about real-world strategies for increasing local sourcing and building more resilient, local, and sustainable supply chains.
Hear from Chef Joseph VanWagner, Executive Chef of Echelon Kitchen and Bar in Ann Arbor; Will Moyer, Food Hub Coordinator at Argus Farm Stop; and Ryan Poe, Farmer and Owner at The Hungry Locavore; who have navigated the opportunities and challenges of sourcing ingredients from local farms. After the panel, take part in an interactive workshop about strategies for increasing local food sourcing in Southeast Michigan.
Note: Due to limited capacity, registration for this event is limited to representatives of businesses and organizations directly involved in the production, distribution, sale, or serving of food. With questions about if this event is a good fit for you, please reach out to Azella Markgraf, Sustainability Coordinator at the Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations, at [email protected].
