About this Event
Learn how to grow your own edible mushrooms and enjoy them! During this workshop, we'll focus on the following objectives:
- Explain basic mushroom ecology and role fungi play in natural ecosystems.
- Describe the role of fungi as decomposers of organic matter.
- Identify mushroom varieties best suited for home production.
- Recognize environmental conditions required for successful mushroom cultivation.
- Demonstrate proper harvesting, handling, and consumption techniques for edible mushrooms.
- Apply general fungi safety guidelines to reduce risks associated with cultivation and consumption.
