About this Event
Citrus is coming back to Florida thanks to new cultivars that have been discovered by the University of Florida researchers that are tolerant of the deadly citrus greening disease. In this class, you will learn about the planting and care of citrus trees. Participants will go home with a SUGAR BELL mandarin tree, which is tolerant to the citrus greening disease, and a Tree Defender system to assist with preventing the tree from becoming infected with the disease. Sugar Belle mandarins are similar to Honeybells, but a little smaller. You may choose the option of buying 1 or 2 trees. Save $5 when you select 2 trees (ticket amount is discounted price). Below is a photo of a tree that is similar to the one you will receive. The fee covers the cost of the tree and the tree protection system.
One additional guest may accompany each ticketed guest. The additional guest does not receive a tree and protection kit, unless they purchase their own ticket.
