I’m happy to announce my first workshop dates for 2025 at Old Chapel Flowers HQ on our plot in East Stour. The dates will be the perfect timing to start sowing those seeds for this year! Please see the details below. The workshop will be full of really helpful insights and hints into growing your own cut flowers in your garden taken from my 10 years of cut flower growing experience here on the plot. If you would like a dedicated flower bed for cutting patch or would just like to add some cut flowers into your existing garden, then this workshop is perfect for you.
Overview:
What will you learn?
The skills you need to sow, nurture, and grow a patch of beautiful flowers in your own garden – and enjoy the rewards with your own stunning blooms to enjoy from early summer to late autumn. You will also learn the fundamentals of cutting and conditioning your flowers and how to arrange a bunch to take home. I’ll also talk about how home grown dried florals can be used to decorate your home during the winter months!
Information:
The workshop is suitable for both beginners or those with some experience in gardening. It will take place in either my shepherds hut on the plot (overlooking Duncliffe Woods), or in a spacious room in my home. I will let you know beforehand exactly where it will take place.
The price includes cake, refreshments, list of resources, writing material, some seeds to sow this spring along with a bunch of plot grown dried flowers.
This workshop is also on two other Saturday dates, on:
Saturday7th March and Saturday14th March
