This fun and creative course will focus on food growing, preservation and hygiene where learners will learn easy and low cost methods for preserving herbs, vegetables and fruits such as jams, chutneys and pickles as well as preparing herb tea and butters.Learning Outcomes:
Identify and name common herbs, fruits and vegetables
Carry out basic food preservation methods
Demonstrate basic hygiene and safety practices
Identify benefits of growing and preserving food
This course will take place on Tuesdays - 26th August - 7th October 2025
This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’25)
