WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

As AI capabilities continue to evolve, local government legal office leaders must move beyond stagnant AI governance policies and blindly adopting new technology, and begin developing comprehensive governance programs that address ethical, operational, legal, and organizational considerations.

This interactive workshop introduces the GROW AI Governance Framework, a practical framework designed specifically for local government legal offices. Attendees will examine risks associated with AI adoption and learn a structured approach to developing an AI governance program tailored to their organization’s needs.

This program is designed for local government attorneys, city attorneys, prosecutors, law department leaders, legal administrators and other public service professionals responsible for managing or overseeing the use of AI within their local government legal organization.

YOUR WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:

Natalia S. Harris served nearly three decades in public service as an Assistant County Prosecutor, Assistant Municipal Prosecutor, Assistant City Attorney, Chief Prosecutor and City Attorney.

She is the Founder and Prinicipal Consultant of NSHarris Consulting LLC, a counsulting firm focused on the intersection of legal leadership, organizational management, innovation and operational excellence in local government legal offices.

Throughout her career, Natalia led the modernization of legal operations in three local governement law offices by redesigning workflows and working directly with technology vendors to customize digital case management, document management, and legal workflow systems to meet the unique operational needs of government legal practice. She also led the implementation of one of Ohio's earliest municipal prosecution body-worn camera programs before the General Assembly established statewide disclosure requirements.

Natalia is credentialed in AI governance policy design for public sector legal professionals and is the founder of Ordient Systems, a legal technology company developing innovative solutions to improve courtroom operational readiness.
