Group Ride - Old Nc 105 to Blowing Rock

11/7/26 NcGTSR group ride.
We will rally at Lake James State Park at 10am. We will depart @ 10:30am (or sooner if everyone is accounted for) and head for the south entrance of old Nc105. We will casually make our way through the trail and make a stop at Wiseman’s Overlook for photos of the beautiful 270degree view of the Linville Gorge. At the end of Old NC105 at the north end is The Linville Falls water fall. If anyone wants to stop to hike to the falls, feel free. However I will be pushing on as this would not be a quick stop to do the hike. We will push on to coffeys generally store from here where we can stop and catch a bite to eat and visit the 130yr old general store. If anyone decides to stop to hike the waterfall, this will be a spot for you to catch up with the group (I will post a trail map if needed). After this we will push on and our final stop will be downtown blowing rock. This is a great area to get out and walk, eat and shop. This will be the end of the ride.
The trails are gravel or dirt and some pavement in between, this is a super easy trail ride. No awd or 4x4 is required or needed. These roads/trails are possible by passenger cars.
The first 2 times we did this route we had 20+ vehicles. It would be nice to get a large group again.

•Fuel up before you get to the rally point.
