Group Drumming Workshop (Ages 10–18)
About this Event
Samba Drumming Workshop (Ages 10–18)
📅 Saturday 26 September, 11am – 4pm
📍 Community Hall, Rialto, Dublin 8
Come along and give group samba drumming a go!
No musical experience is needed. You're very welcome, whether you never touched an instrument or you already play something.
Kieran from KaDaKaBoom will guide us through some simple rhythms until we've got our groove on. You'll get to try out a few different samba drums, all provided on the day. Ear defenders are also provided - it's a loud one, in a good way!
The aim of the workshop is to have fun, try out something new, bang some drums and have a go at making simple rhythms. If you lose the rhythm along the way - no problem! You just find your way back in and rejoin the groove. It's a bit like stammering, really. However your flow comes out, whatever your rhythm is like - just join in and have a go!
This is a 5-hour session with a lunch break in the middle, so bring something to eat and drink.
Siblings welcome - the more the merrier! (Special family rate available)
Tickets:
- €15 per person
- €20 per family (if siblings are attending)

Fun fact! Our Youth Officer Penny plays in a community samba band which is where she got the inspiration to bing samba to ISA!
