GroundUp feat. Roscoe James Irwin (The Cat Empire)

Prolific Australian trumpet player, singer, arranger and producer, Roscoe James Irwin (known for his work with legendary Australian bands The Cat Empire, and soul/funk stalwarts The Bamboos), brings his vibrant and raucous brand of soul and jazz to the shores of BC this June. Joined by fellow Cat Empire musicians Ollie McGill (piano and organ) and Daniel Farrugia (drums), as well as Vancouver legend Jodi Proznik (double bass), plus a slew of very special guests. Expect a wild night of soul-jazz, old-school Southern rhythm & blues, and rowdy New Orleans barroom singalongs.
All net proceeds from the door will be donated in support of the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.
