Raised in the coastal town of Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, Canada - Jade Monet is a captivating singer, songwriter, and recording artist — whose strong voice & emotional depth are often compared to vocal powerhouses such as Adele, Raye, & Christina Aguilera - with a sprinkle of that smooth, jazz delivery associated with Amy Winehouse. From the tender age of two, Jade's life has been intertwined with singing — inspired in her early years by classics from Etta James, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, and Billie Holiday.Exploring newer, more contemporary sounds — her 2019 EP, Awake & Dreaming, led to performances at Canadian Music Week (Toronto), A3C Festival (Atlanta), Westward Festival (Vancouver) & The Hotel Cafe (LA). After a period of reflection during the pandemic, Jade returned to her core influences with In the Shade of the Willow — a heartfelt fusion of Soul, Pop, and R&B — while her forthcoming project, Night Bloom explores the raw life experiences that allowed her to blossom into the woman she is today.
All net proceeds from the door will be donated in support of the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.
