Good Intentions is an innovative pocket collective that blends the intricacies of jazz with the dynamic energy of pocket and soul music. Led by the local guitarist Brad Hall, the band explores a soundscape that is both complex and accessible, drawing from diverse influences to stay true to a song’s melody while exploring a new harmonic landscape.
Good Intentions is known for its soulful arrangements, tight grooves, and spontaneous improvisation. Brad Hall's guitar work, characterized by fluid phrasing and soulful melodic playing, is the heart of the band’s sound. The ensemble features a group of like-minded musicians who share a passion for blending rhythm, melody, and technical prowess, creating a unique fusion of jazz, pocket, and soul.
All net proceeds from the door will be donated in support of the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.
