The 6th Annual Groundhog Day Triathlon is the perfect introduction to the 2054 Season and will be held at Club Westside located at 1200 Wilcrest, Houston, Texas. You will get 10 minutes for your swim, 10 minutes transition from pool to bike, 25 minute bike (spin bike), 5 minutes transition from bike to run, and 20 minute run. Each swimmer will share a lane for the swim, we will with have 12 swimmers that start each wave and a new wave will start every 5 minutes. The swim is in an outdoor pool, but the temperature for the water is always 82 degrees. The run is on an indoor track and a volunteer will help count your laps.
This year we will also have Duathlon and Dry Swim Option. The Duathlon will run for 10 minutes before the bike and the dry swim will have 10 minutes on a rower.
Packet pick up will be the morning of the event, so each athlete will need to check in 20 minutes prior to their start time. Please check in before your start time or you will be eliminated from the event. Results will be determined by…
