The City of Hamilton is excited to announce a groundbreaking event for the first houses in the Build Back the Block initiative. Join us Thursday, September 4th at 2:00pm as we break ground on two new homes at 934 and 938 East Avenue.
This milestone marks the beginning of a transformational effort to reinvest in Hamilton’s traditional neighborhoods from the ground up, starting in Jefferson. Construction on the homes is scheduled to begin on September 15th.
This round of housing, on three vacant City lots, has the Consortium for Ongoing Reinvestment Efforts (CORE) leading the initiative, with Community First Solutions as the contractor for construction, and plans provided by Community Design Alliance.
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and take part in this historic moment for Hamilton’s Jefferson neighborhood.
