About this Event

Get grossed out with Autumn Kioti & Friends while conducting a hands-on owl pellet dissection and nature scavenger hunt at Riverbend Park.

TWO FOR ONE IF YOU SIGN UP BEFORE THE END OF FEBRUARY!
Owl Pellet Dissection & Nature Scavenger Hunt at Riverbend Park

Appropriate for ages 5 to 105.

Grab the kids, bring your curiosity, and step into the wild and icky side of South Florida nature! This hands-on adventure invites families to explore bird biology and the food web through a guided owl pellet dissection paired with an engaging nature scavenger hunt designed for all ages.

After getting gross with our owl pellets, binoculars in hand and scavenger hunt clues to guide us, we’ll search for birds, plants, insects, and other natural wonders—turning learning into a playful outdoor experience.

All fees go towards materials for this event.

About the Event

This guided experience is designed especially for families with children, though nature lovers of all ages are welcome. Autumn Kioti and friends will lead the group at a kid-friendly pace, helping participants learn about food webs before completing a nature scavenger hunt.

Take the time to pause and observe, ask questions, and celebrate discoveries. No prior experience is needed—just a sense of adventure and a willingness to explore.

Whether it’s your child’s first owl pellet, or your family’s next outdoor tradition, this event offers a joyful (and gross!) way to connect with nature together.
