In the swing dance community today, the roots of the music often receive less attention compared to dance workshops. This workshop aims to deepen your understanding of swing music’s history, styles, and rhythms, and highlight the key artists who have influenced the genre, which are essential to fully appreciate the dance and the culture.
Whether you’re a dancer, a teacher, a DJ, a musician or simply a music enthusiast, this workshop is for you. Join us for a laid-back, discussion-focused session led by Hot Soup who will share his recent experiences and insights on these important topics. Hot Soup is a jazz enthusiast, swing dancer, facilitator, organizer and DJ based in Cologne. (Workshop will be in english)
