Beach Dance Club is a movement collective that creates meaningful community dance experiences on Earth's beautiful shorelines. Through healing sessions, groove parties, movement + journaling practices, and somatic workshops, we host intimate, guided pop-ups across the West Coast where movement becomes medicine, reflection deepens, and community is reclaimed in nature.

Mark your calendars and join us for an energizing and feel-good Grooves on the Beach experience at Dockweiler State Beach on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM (Pacific Time)! We can't wait to see you at our all-levels beach dance session! Let's move, release, express, and soak up the beach atmosphere together. We're coming together to get our of our heads and into nature, move our bodies for fun, and bond with community through the healing powers of music, passion, and dance.

What to expect:

• A non-intimidating space to move freely and express yourself, no performance (unless you want)
• Curated music playlist including Hip-hop, R&B, and other popular upbeat genres
• Basic-level follow-along movement, led by Ashley (for those who want some guidance)
• Supportive group energy fostering connection, freedom, and shared healing
• A serene beach setting that amplifies the power of nature in your movement journey
• Leave feeling lighter, clearer, energized, and more grounded

Event timeline:

3:45p: Check-in and mingle with the community

4p-4:10p: Introductions, Warm up/Stretch + Intention setting

4:10-4:35p: Follow-along Beginner Grooves with Ashley (Guided movement)

4:35-4:55p: Option: Short beginner-level choreography or Freestyle moment (Groove circle or individually)

4:55a-5:05p: Cool Down + Grounding

5:05p-5:15p: Closing Sharing Circle

Bring your own drinking water. Bring a towel, chair, or mat for moments when you want to sit or rest your body. We will take (optional) short breaks during the follow-along grooves.

No experience needed. Just come as you are. Your body already knows the way.
