‘Everybody’s Black’:

‘Everybody’s Black’ confronts themes of race, mental health, isolation, identity and global unrest through a raw fusion of live music, poetry, and LED-screen visuals. Backed by The True Groove All-Stars (Featuring atmospheric visuals & sonics by Imantús), Global Soul pioneer Tomás Doncker will take the audience on a journey from personal shadows to communal light, amplifying cries of hope and resilience. Afro-futuristic portrayals of chaotic modern society, will provide a ‘Real World/Future World’ backdrop transforming the venue into an emotional battleground-where humanity triumphs. We are honored to be able to present this ‘Work in Progress’ showcase at Temperance.

‘Everybody’s black when the lights go out,' is a powerful poetic device. It functions as both a literal observation and a metaphor for the ultimate equality found in darkness, anonymity, or perhaps even our search for sanity.’
