Groove Merchant Quartet

Get ready for an unforgettable night with the Groove Merchant Quartet - Dick Hamer succeeds in his goal to have a group that can convincingly play material which covers a variety of genres under the umbrella we call jazz. Dick said “The clue is in the name, if it grooves, we’ll play it. Mark Sambell (piano) Alun Vaughan (bass) and Paul Smith (drums) are supremely versatile, and make this goal happen.”

The bands repertoire covers tunes by the likes of The Yellowjackets, Herbie Hancock, Eddie Harris, The Crusaders, “Fathead” Newman, as well as some originals, and oh yeh, some swing too!
