This exciting project connects leading professional improvising musicians from accross Europe & South America. Groove Elation Project fosters intercultural appreciation, understanding, and co- operation through varied styles of music and improvised music performance. Formed 2025 by Phil Mc Dermott. The project’s core members are Norwegian based Guitarist/Composer/Educator Phil Mc Dermott - Pianist Silas Gomes - Brazil - Bassist - Thomas Kvam Norway - and Drummer- Johannes Ulveraker - Norway.
Groove Elation ensemble draws upon a wide range of musical influences from Scofield, Stern, Hancock, Brecker.
Their artistic goals sre to compose and perform music that will engage them & their audience.
