Jazz funk reminiscent of the 70's and melded with the acid jazz coming from the soul edges of the UK in the 90's. The band blends all of its musical influences into its own powerful original sound. Horns, guitars, percussion, keys, drums and bass. Groove 8 is a Charlotte based jazz funk collective that has been together since 2008. The band has recorded eight studio albums with its next project titled EVOLUTION to be released November 15, 2026. The band has toured nationally and has a yearly residence at the Fillmore Jazz festival held annually in San Francisco.
