GrimmSpeed After Hours IS BACK!Before The Pandemic, we really enjoyed hosting Friday After Hours Meets at The GrimmSpeed Shop as a way to bring friends, family, fans and car enthusiasts together to enjoy a nice summer evening. With Covid restrictions, we had to put a pause on in-shop events, then given the amount of growth we’ve had over the past few years, the pause continued to allow for an intensive shop renovation and expansion. I’m glad to say that the day is finally here for us to open up the doors and show off all our hard work!
Exactly like our past After Hours, this meet on 9/30/22 is intended to be a casual gathering of automotive enthusiasts. All car/motorcycle owners are welcome as long as they're respectful of what this get-together is all about. We want people to show off the cars that they've been shedding blood, sweat and tears over, relax and get to know other like-minded enthusiasts, and above all, strengthen the Twin Cities car community. Show up with your friends, family, dogs, grill etc. and prepare to have a good time. Before then, be sure to share/pass the word around about After Hours so we can make this our best event yet!
Based on overwhelmingly positive feedback in the past, we will be doing GrimmSpeed shop tours at 6 and 7PM. These will be a great opportunity to check out our new expanded space, ask GS Staff questions (come prepared with some!) and see the company's inner workings, which are normally closed off to the general public.
Since so many of you have requested it, we'll be selling any GrimmSpeed products at the show AND be accepting credit cards as well as cash. One of our representatives will be available at our front desk to help with purchases.
There will be a small admission fee of $1 per person, each of which will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of a few GrimmSpeed products at a 7:30PM drawing. We will donate all entry proceeds to a worthwhile charity.
The official space in front of our shop is limited so spots will be first come, first serve. There is also always some amount of construction going on in the area so plan accordingly. Photographers will be on site taking pictures of the event so make sure your car is clean and ready for an admiring audience, we plan to debut meet pictures on our social media the following week.
Most everyone did a great job of behaving at past events and the property owners and surrounding businesses recognized it, we would like to personally thank everyone for that. Let’s continue to bring that mature mentality to each event and keep the good times going.
I would like to reiterate that we will be following a strict code of conduct and not tolerating any sort of negative behavior. In case some need a reminder, here's a short list of things NOT to do:
Burnouts
Unnecessary revving
Arriving in a car that looks like it's been through a demo derby
Racing to and from the show
Bringing/consuming drugs or alcohol
Littering
