Grimbarians Studios: Reverse Applique and Free-motion Machine Embroidery

Another fantastic opportunity from Thread and Press CIC to learn how to use free-motion machine embroidery to create beautiful artwork. In this exciting session, you will learn how to lower the feed dogs on a sewing machine and 'draw' with thread.

You will also choose from lots of fabrics to layer and use the reverse applique method to build colour and pattern into your work. This is a great opportunity for absolute beginners - Holly is an experienced teacher and can show you how even if you haven't sewn before.

It is also a great opportunity for more experienced stitchers or artists looking to try something new. We provide all materials and equipment (including sewing machines). You can choose from some of our template images or bring your own image to work from (line drawings work best, no bigger than 7 inch diameter).

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided - just bring your own lunch.
