We’re inviting you to lace up your trainers, take on a new challenge, and support people with additional needs. We’re looking for people ready to go the extra mile for those who need additional support in life.

Join Team Special Stars Foundation at the Grim Up North Run ‘Get the Hull Out of Here!’ on 24th May and help raise vital funds for a trusted local charity supporting children and adults with additional needs across Hull and the East Riding for over a decade.

Why take part?

Whether you’re taking your first steps into running or you’re an experienced athlete, this event is for you. With distances ranging from 5K to a full marathon, you can choose a challenge that suits your pace and ambition.

The race follows the TransPennine Trail towards Hornsea, offering a flat, scenic route—perfect for beginners and ideal for seasoned runners aiming for a personal best. Age restrictions: 16+

· A Special Stars Foundation branded running T-shirt. 👕 Register by 15th May to have your Special Stars T-shirt ready for race day!

What we ask

All we ask in return is that you commit to raising a minimum of £50 to support our vital services for people with additional needs. Whether through social media, workplace fundraising, or support from friends and family, every pound you raise helps change lives.
