About this Event

You're invited to join OzTREKK and Griffith Law School for an informative seminar at Simon Fraser University on November 3. This will be a great opportunity to learn why Griffith University has become so popular among Canadians!


Joining us will be Griffith's Dean of Law Therese Wilson, who has assisted many students and is familiar with the Canadian student perspective on studying law Down Under.

About Griffith Dean of Law. Assoc. Prof, Therese Wilson

Meeting a "Dean of Law" may seem intimidating. But in this case, nothing could be further from the truth! Assoc. Prof Wilson is super approachable, friendly, and loves to help all Griffith students succeed. She looks forward to meeting you and answering all your questions!


Therese is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Her areas of research include international commercial law, international commercial arbitration, and consumer law. Her areas of teaching expertise include corporate law, banking and finance law, and international commercial arbitration.


Therese completed her PhD thesis in 2010 on Regulating to Facilitate Access to Safe and Affordable Credit for Low Income Australians and has served as chair of the Australian Financial Inclusion Network and as chair of the board of a community development finance institution, Foresters Community Finance Limited. Therese has coached Griffith Law School's Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team since 2003. Therese has published two books with Ashgate, Codifying Contract Law and International Responses to Issues of Credit and Over-indebtedness in the Wake of Crisis.
