The City of Griffin and Spalding County are proud to announce a community-wide celebration honoring America's 250th Anniversary and Spalding County's 175th Anniversary.
Join us on Saturday, July 4th, for the annual Independence Day Parade at 10am in Downtown Griffin to kick off the community-wide celebration week. Community organizations, businesses, civic groups, churches, schools, and families are invited to participate in this patriotic tradition as we celebrate America's 250th birthday.
Interested in being part of the parade? Register by visiting https://www.eventeny.com/events/griffin4thofjulyparade-26989/.
Immediately following the parade, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will host America's 250th Birthday Party at the Park at Sixth, with free birthday cake as we honor our nation's historic milestone.
The day will conclude with Fireworks at dark, presented by the City of Griffin and Spalding County. Fireworks will launch from Orrs Elementary School and can be viewed throughout the 1941 Corridor. Please note that Volunteer Park will be closed due to ongoing construction and will not be available for viewing.
