Grief Movement Workshop and Performance
Join us for an in-person experience where you can explore your emotions through expressive movement. This workshop is all about connecting with your grief in a supportive space and then sharing that journey in a live performance. Whether you’re looking to heal, express, or just be with others, this event offers a unique way to move through your feelings. Come as you are and discover the power of movement and community.
When and Where: The event is taking place Friday, July 24th and Saturday July 25th at Stonewall Youth in Olympia (112 State Ave NE, Olympia, WA 98501).
Cost: Free! Donations are welcome but not required. Tickets for the performance will be $10.
What're we doin': This is a 24 hour project where we are creating movement in community to be shown as our experiences with grieving. You do not have to be a "dancer" to participate. If you are interested in diving in and exploring movement in a unique and thoughtful way, this is a great opportunity to explore that. All experiences levels are welcome. Grief with a variety of situations will be explored.
Timeline:- Friday, July 24th 6pm-8pm - Dance Workshop and Grief Exploration- Saturday, July 25th 1pm-5pm - Movement Crafting, an hour dinner break after, and show at 7pm- Anyone is welcome to attend the showing on Saturday the 25th at 7pm.
