This is a two-day, facilitated ceremony to express the many aspects of grief and allow joy, aliveness, clarity, and strength to emerge. In this way we become ready to actively create a more sane, resilient, and healthy world. Cascadia Quest offers contemporary grieving spaces based on traditional patterns of ceremonial grieving. Though a unique creation, our ceremonies are strongly influenced by the teachings of Sobonfu Somé of Burkina Faso- a pioneer in bringing African healing ritual to the Western World. These ceremonies allow for the safe, healthy expression and release of grief. Common results are feelings of ease, lightness, relief, empowerment and smiles.
Who is this for?
*Anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one, pet or job
*People in transition of any kind (divorce, illness, disappointed dreams)
*Those in helping professions who carry the pain of others
*Those feeling the grief of violence, racism, environmental destruction, systemic oppression and failing systems
*People experiencing isolation, sadness or pain of any kind
This event costs money because we need to continue to run a viable organization in order to offer these programs. We offer tiered equity pricing in order to help accommodate varying financial abilities.
