Greta Ruth is an experimental folk singer/songwriter. With finger-style acoustic guitar and soft, poetic vocals, her music is a meeting point of sweetness and dissonance. This performance celebrates the release of her third studio album, Isle of Ferns. A sonic departure from her intricately tense and often dolefully sparse previous work, Isle of Ferns draws on brighter, more hopeful tones to trace intimacy and love as echoes of the divine. Jonathan Waldo (aka Neon Menhirs) is a St. Paul, MN composer and sound designer who has a fascination with using digital sampling processes to create evolving soundscapes. Jonathan has performed in Drone not Drones as a solo artist as well as a member of ambient ensemble Swimmer, Bressler & Waldo.
