About this Event

Join us on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Kroc Center Greenville (424 Westfield St, Greenville, SC 29601) for our February Lunch & Learn featuring Clemson University's Adaptive Sports & Recreation Program.

Recreational therapy - including adaptive recreation - is shown to improve health outcomes for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or chronic health conditions. Clemson's University's Adaptive Sports & Recreation Program provides adaptive sport opportunities to the Clemson campus, Upstate community, and state of South Carolina.

Some of these include:

  • The Palmetto Games, South Carolina’s annual adaptive sports tournament bringing together athletes with physical disabilities
  • TOP Soccer and Challenger Baseball, two adaptive sports programs that create inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities
  • The Clemson Classic, a youth wheelchair basketball tournament showcasing young athletes from across the region
  • The collegiate wheelchair tennis team, a competitive program that provides student‑athletes with high‑level training, teamwork, and opportunities to compete at the collegiate level

Come learn about Clemson University's Adaptive Sports & Recreation Program's work to "be a leader in adaptive sports and recreation, setting standards in programming and research that empower individuals with disabilities. "
