Greening The Screen showcase

Informed by BAFTA albert's Screen New Deal Transformation Plan for Wales, the Greening the Screen Development Fund was designed and delivered by Ffilm Cymru Wales and Media Cymru to develop innovative ways to make the Welsh film and TV sector more environmentally sustainable.

The innovative R&D projects awarded funding, led by local production companies, studios and facilities, will showcase their work and findings for making Wales’ screen sector greener. Covering water, power, transport, circular economy and virtual production, the projects will demonstrate practical ways to make production more sustainable, and potentially cost-effective.

This free event will feature:

• Case study presentations of Greening the Screen projects
• Panel discussion with Q&A chaired by PDR
• A conversation chaired by Lisa Howe (BFI Sustainable Screen project manager at BAFTA albert) on the vital role of writers in creating sustainable productions
• Special preview screening of Gavin Porters’ Climate Stories short film Who Gives a F**k About Polar Bears?
• The opportunity to connect and network with professionals across the screen and sustainability sectors.

Arddangosfa Gwyrddio'r Sgrîn

Ymunwch â Ffilm Cymru Wales, Media Cymru a PDR wrth i ni ddathlu prosiectau sy'n datblygu syniadau newydd ar gyfer gwyrddio'r sector sgrîn.

Wedi'i lywio gan Gynllun Trawsnewid Bargen Newydd Sgrîn BAFTA Albert ar gyfer Cymru, mae Cronfa Ddatblygu Gwyrddio'r Sgrîn Ffilm Cymru Wales a Media Cymru wedi ei chynllunio a’i chyflwyno i ddatblygu ffyrdd arloesol i wneud sector ffilm a theledu Cymru yn fwy amgylcheddol gynaliadwy.

Mae’r prosiectau Ymchwil a Datblygu arloesol yma wedi derbyn cyllid, a byddant yn cael eu harwain gan gwmnïau cynhyrchu, stiwdios a chyfleusterau lleol er mwyn datblygu sector sgrîn fwy gwyrdd i Gymru. Bydd y canlyniadau a’r canfyddiadau wedyn yn cael eu dangos a’u rhannu. Gan gwmpasu dŵr, pŵer, trafnidiaeth, economi gylchol a chynhyrchu rhithwir, bydd y prosiectau'n dangos ffyrdd ymarferol o wneud y gwaith o gynhyrchu'n fwy cynaliadwy, ac o bosibl yn fwy cost-effeithiol.
