Join SUNY Broome Chef Instructor Maleah Farr as she leads this introduction into the world of vegetable preservation through Lacto-Fermentation. While she primarily teaches Baking Principles, she also leads some community workforce education workshops. Her love for food education began with her own experiences baking at home, eating while traveling, and learning from a diverse array of teachers around the world. Participants will learn the basics of the lacto-fermentation process as they construct their own brines for sauerkraut and kimchi to continue fermenting at home.This workshop is FREE and open to the public. A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
