About this Event

The Green Thread | 5th SFG (A) Chapter – Floral Workshop

Join the Special Forces Foundation for The Green Thread | 5th SFG (A) Chapter Floral Workshop, a morning of creativity, connection, and community for 5th Special Forces Group moms and their children.

About the Floral Workshop

The Green Thread brings Special Forces spouses and families together through meaningful experiences designed to strengthen connection, encourage resilience, and build lasting community.

Just as flowers continue to bloom through changing seasons, military families continue to grow through the ever-changing seasons of military life. Training cycles, deployments, TDYs, school schedules, work, and family responsibilities can make it difficult to slow down and spend intentional time together.

This workshop offers moms and their children an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, spend meaningful time together, and connect with other families in the 5th Special Forces Group community.

During the workshop, moms will paint their own ceramic bud vase before creating a fresh sunflower arrangement to take home. Children are welcome to enjoy coloring activities provided by the Special Forces Foundation while spending quality time alongside their moms.

The finished arrangement will serve as a reminder that even during life’s busiest and most challenging seasons, growth and beauty can still flourish.
