500 students from 50 Nevada schools will come together in Downtown Las Vegas to share the fruits of their labor with the Las Vegas community at this student-run farmers market, hosted in partnership with Bank of Nevada, Clark County and County Comissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick.Through Green Our Planet’s STEM garden programs across Nevada, students have been nurturing the land from seed to harvest, heightening their connection to nature and food, all while learning STEM experientially.
Leading up to the Giant Student Farmers Market, students are not only growing the produce themselves, they're also creating products out of their harvests and developing their own business plans as a part of the Financial Literacy component of their programming.
Come support Las Vegas students in your community and take home some local student-grown fruits and veggies! ??
