Sustainable Queenstown is soaring to new heights for our May Green Drinks!
Join us at the top of the Skyline Gondola for an evening of delicious discussion on sustainable eating.
Food For Thought - Eating Sustainably
What does sustainable eating mean? Are these the choices you make at the grocery store? Is it how you prepare your food or your decisions when looking at a restaurant menu? Does being a sustainable eater mean changing your lifestyle? What about food waste? What can we do at home, and what about businesses and hospitality operations? What are the successes we can learn from, and what are the challenges that need to be overcome?
There is a lot to think about, but luckily we have two experts to lead us through the challenges and into a tasty future.
You are invited to a lively panel discussion with two local experts:
Michael Sly: Michael is the founder of Wilding & Co. and Waste to Wilderness - two organisations working hard to turn waste and pest plants into valuable products and services.
Nadia Lim: Nadia is a person of many talents and accomplishments. Masterchef winner, cookbook author, founder of My Food Bag, television host and her newest venture Royalburn - a regenerative and sustainable farm on the Crown Terrace.
Both of our speakers have a passion for sustainability and have a lifetime of experience in the field. We'll be having an informal fireside chat style conversation with a host from Sustainable Queenstown. There will also be some time for Q&A and social mingling among guests and attendees.
Our friends at Skyline will provide delicious nibbles, and Altitude Brewing will have a beer for everyone — both are included in your ticket price. Your ticket also includes your gondola pass for the evening.
This is going to be an unmissable evening, filled with interesting conversations on eating more sustainably and the great Green Drinks social atmosphere we all enjoy - all in a beautiful setting high above Queenstown! It will truly be Food for Thought.
