Effect - building production level typescript apps and staying happy by Nikos Kalogridis (gr)
Building production-level backend applications on TypeScript requires a number of libraries that have to be glued together, and often the code looks bloated with boilerplate. Effect provides an all-inclusive solution that allows great composability by using monads under the hood, along with all the necessary components for a production-level application. This enables you to focus on what you need to build rather than reinventing the wheel to deal with concurrency, async/sync code, error handling, tracing, etc.
About the speaker:
Nikos Kalogridis loves functional programming, restoring cars, listening to music and building audio amplifiers and speakers.

Building a Data-Driven Audio Engine with WebAudio by Michalis Zabaras (gr)
In this presentation, I'll break down my journey of creating blibliki, a modular, data-driven audio engine. First up, we'll cover some basics: what sound is and how we can play with it using the Web Audio API. Then, I'll take you step by step through how to build a data-driven audio engine from scratch, all the way to a working prototype.
About the speaker:
Michalis Zabaras is a software engineer with more than a decade of experience in web development. He is an hobbyist musician and music producer, so that leads him the last 2 years to be involved with WebAudio and developing audio products for both personal and commercial use.
