“Greatest Hits Album,” Full Circle Nine Gallery group show for July First Friday

The Full Circle Nine Gallery (FC9) will feature all of its member artists in a group show, “Greatest Hits Album,” as part of the July First Friday art tour, Friday, July 3rd, 6-9pm. Admission and parking are free.
With “Greatest Hits Album,” the Full Circle Nine Gallery kicks off its countdown to its tenth anniversary. The gallery began with nine artist friends pooling their resources and skills to turn a very industrial portion of the then-Circle City Industrial Complex into a clean, well-lit home for their artwork. Starting on December 16th, 2016, the nine began work on the transformation, with a soft opening for the January, 2017, First Friday, and a full grand opening during First Friday, February 3rd, 2017. That continued connectivity will be on display for July’s First Friday.
“This is a great opportunity for FC9 to showcase our talent collectively, allowing all of our individual artistic styles to compliment each other within a group setting,” board member and artist Mike Meares said. “This offers a different perspective for the audience to engage with each of our members’ work. It shows off on of our strengths; creating a welcoming space for emerging artists to showcase their work and to grow as artists while offering the audiences a chance to find ‘a little something for everyone.’
Founder and president Joy Hernandez continues to stand in awe of what the group has accomplished over nearly a decade.
“We didn’t even have electricity when FC9 began,” Hernandez said. “I can’t even tell you how many times I just walk in here, look around still wide-eyed and full of the pride that we did this, all of us together. It feels like we’ve had this space forever but at the same time, I also can’t believe it’s been nearly ten years.”
Throughout the coming months, FC9 will have several collective events and shows, along with its classic ‘Featured Artist’ shows during First Friday, culminating in its biggest party yet, First Friday, February 5th, 2027.
About the Full Circle Nine Gallery
The Full Circle Nine Gallery operates as an artist cooperative gallery, with each of the member artists and the board dividing gallery duties and artists roles. The artists work together to help each other to help each other advance in skill and practice as well as to bring success to the gallery. With over two dozen artists occupying a large, three-room space of the more factory reminiscent portion of the Factory Arts District North building, Full Circle Nine Gallery offers a wide variety of art forms, media, and approaches.
The gallery has regular hours: 12-4pm on Saturday and Sundays.
