Celebrate the completion of the Great Southeast Pollinator Census by kicking back at the orchard for community, potluck, and love of biodiversity!
Open to all Census participants and friends!
Bee City will give remarks and thanks to all of you who participated. Thank you Bee City! (locations to participate in the census that weekend will be posted soon)
Bring
+ a potluck dish or beverage to share
+ folding chair
+ water and sun protection
+ readiness to watch pollinators!
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a community science project that helps researchers better understand pollinator activity throughout the Southeast. To learn more, visit the Great Southeast Pollinator Census at https://gsepc.org/
During the party you can also participate in the census. Our many native plants and pollinator garden will provide many plants that pollinators seek during this time.
Materials to participate will be provided on site. No scientific background is required, all ages are welcome. Participants simply identify insects using broad categories such as bumble bees, carpenter bees, honey bees, small bees, wasps, flies, butterflies, moths, and other insects.
