Floyd County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers with join with the Eco Center and Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful as we take part in The Great Southeast Pollinator Census. The Census is a citizen science project designed to provide important data to researchers studying pollinators in hopes of make a difference for pollinator conservation. We will be counting pollinators on Friday, August 22, from 11am to 1pm at Ridge Ferry Park, on the north side of the tracks from the ECO Center near the dog park. This is a family fun event. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. This is a great opportunity for citizen scientists to participate in a real research project with regional as well as national importance. The data collected during the Census will be shared with researchers around the country. For more information on the Pollinator Census, go to www.gsepc.org.
