Join us for the third year of the Great Lakes Shag Escape, a fun and welcoming collegiate shag event in Chicago on May 15-17, 2026 weekend. Take classes with amazing instructors, including Patricio Garces, Sarah Stembridge, and more! Classes for beginner to advanced shag dancers. There will also be fun contests including two levels of shag mix and match contests, a friendly people bingo contest, and shag strictly. Come dance with us and enjoy our Midwestern friendliness! Registration officially opens Wednesday, June 25 at 7pm Central.
